!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same foot, same 4 weeks on then taper off for the next 2. Unfortunately it's the long bone that had the surgery last Dec.(next to big toe)

Off to see the Podiatrist next week for an extra specially made pair of shoes ( I LIKE my sandals with the steel plates in them but they are NOT giving me enuf arch support..thus the fractures :( ) With arch supports that are higher than these it may stop me from having another one, I sure hope so.((had a bone density AND a bone scan and everything there is in the normal range)). And they are even talking of shoes that I can wear whilst in the pool...where it broke this time...
This go round really made me angry as I was doing exactly what the DOCTOR ORDERED--walk in pool for 2 min, rest, and then get out, every other day..did it Sun..Sun night my foot was killing me and I thought it was cause of the strong storm that was brewing..Mon, it was swollen: Tues, I went to PT and the gal said 'stress fracture': Wed ,I was in x-ray (to late Tues for it and I didn't think I needed urgent care--used my cane and wheelchair at the clinic): and Thurs, the Ortho Dr said No I didn't need surgery but here is *De Boot* and a brace for the other foot so IT doesn't get overwhelmed like last time....
De Boot is a bit different as it is 2 separate pieces--bottom back top front with straps AND inflatable ankle supports with its own 'pump'....and compression stocking to wear until the swelling goes down.

And you all thought I was just ignoring you.

Nope, I am now in soft hand/wrist braces in the day and HARD ones at night for the swollen tendons in both hands for a couple of weeks with Occupational Therapy followed by Physical Therapy for my back (Facet arthritis) throughout Aug...then re-evaluation on both. I am getting some answers and some different ways of solving the pain. Was told I will always be in pain but they're going to do their best to get it to minimal with less meds if at all possible. Said it wouldn't happen overnight..but it will get better...thus the pool walking and Therapies.... tis a start. I have hope:)

Oh, I DID get some sewing done--made 2 Timtex baskets:) ON TOPIC.
