get thee to AAA and have a route map AND a personalized trip book made up. You will get construction and detour information for all roads, not just I10.
AAA has come to my aid twice this year .... once to change a tire, and once to jump start a battery. They also provided me and DH with free Passport photos. I've purchased a couple travel bags at discount too. This all makes it worth my membership fees. I am a member of AAA, but gain no benefit from this message.
