Re: Talk to me of Pfaff....

I have a pfaff 940, it's great for general sewing but has limitations
when quilting. My interest though is in your Free-Westinghouse. It was
1987, I was working on my first bargello quilt when my Singer flaked
out on me, so I rushed it in for repairs and the guy loaned me the FW.
I got it home and tried it out, called the guy and told him to forget
the repairs, I bought the FW for 40$ and it is a workhorse. It's all
metal, with a heavy duty motor, it's belt driven which I have only
replaced once in all these years. It only has a straight stitch but a
perfect one. It is pale tropical blue, I think from the late 40's but
I have never seen another one like it, although I must admit, I haven't
done too much research on it. So what's yours like, do you sew on it
or is it for display? How old is it, heck, just tell me everything
about it!
