I love the playmat Marissa. I want to be a kid again! My first thought was
bright blue & then, on second thought, I thought red would really set it
off - looks like that is what the majority - so far - thinks too. It's
beautiful - what a lucky baby!

Sofi was sick, so I stayed home two days this week & made a big dent in
quilting projects... now that she is better I have her cold.. :o(
I posted a pic of my last project, a playmat for a friend whose newborn
kid has two quilts already (his grandma is a quilter too). I was
inspired by Kaffe Fasset caravan of quilts book: the 5 de mayo quilt
(that one is very red though). Great book, I am making the fabric trays
next. So, what colour would you use for the binding? The backing is
magenta flannel with swirls in all primary colours (nobody knew the
gender, I wanted to over all bases, but my gut feeling that it was a boy
was right, hence the blue quilt!)
