I always tend to "clip" the edge of the templates. If you could "double up" on the templates -- to
make them thicker -- that would make it more difficult to cut off the edges. I'm also working on a
DWR - but using the acrylic templates -- I have about 70 arcs assembled... only need about 200
more!! Don't think I'll have this one done before the wedding in August! MY DH really threw a
wrench into my sewing plans when he delivered a new puppy for mother's day! Oh well... the bride
will get it when it's finished!

Good morning everyone!
It is a local holiday here in Guadalajara, Spain, so that means I have
the entire day to do things I want and no patients to see!!!
I am slowly getting my act together to make a double wedding ring lap
throw using the John Flynn technique. Strips are all cut and ready to
strip piece. I have some acetate/plastic to cut the templates from for
the melons and centers. This is relatively sturdy, but not as sturdy as
acryllic. Or should I use cardboard?
Either way, do you advise using a rotary cutter to cut the fabric using
cardboard or acetate templates? How likely am I to chop off a piece of
the template this way? I really don't want to have to use scissors....
Thanks!
Claudia
