Re: OT: Thanx & Medical Happy Dance

How wonderful!
First of all to hear from you, and then to hear your good news.
It's so nice to hear that reading the messages has given you smiles - and whatever else! Just shows that lurking can be good - and we have no idea how many lurkers there might be.

So, a special hullo, if you're lurking today >g<

Hi all, its Heather in West OZ here.

Some of you may know me as a lurker and a very occasional poster to the
newsgroup. I've been keeping up with the group since about 2000 and just
love to hear what you are all doing and working on even if I haven't been
very sociable myself.

And I just wanted to thank you all for keeping me going over the last 6
months or so. I know you don't have a clue about what has been happening,
and thats fine. I chose not to let on. But today I came home from hospital
after a stem cell transplant. Final treatment for multiple myeloma and now
I'm on the homeward run. YeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

My family and friends have been wonderful. But just being able to log on the
the ng and catch up with all the happenings etc has given me a smile when I
needed it and a kick in the pants when I needed that too.

Now I need to get myself fit enough to sit in front of the SM for a while
cos I still have a month or so before I can think about going back to work
and I have lots of WIMs that I want to start on. So first order for today is
park myself on the couch with the QI, a video/DVD and the lap quilt that I
need to finish sewing the binding on. That way I can satisfy the doc by
resting and still do something constructive.

Anyway thanx again. You've helped more than you know. Will be back to talk
to you soon
