Re: Just needing to connect!

Wow, that was strange. It had been less than a day ago that I thought to
myself that we hadn't heard from you for a while and I was wondering what
was going on with you and your family. Then here you are! Thanks for the
update. Stay well and keep on truckin!

I just had to drop a note to say HI! I love you guys! I miss you guys
a really, really LOT!

Things are going well, albeit busy, busy, busy! Since the kids moved
in, (DD and boyfriend) it's been rather chaotic around our house - but
good. With the exception of them getting rear-ended rather
dramatically in a school zone last Monday afternoon - which was of
course followed by the 24 hours of stress and no sleep as police
reports were filed and everyone was checked out in the ER. But things
could have been so much worse - as it was, we are minus yet another
vehicle (the car was totaled) which makes transportation no less than a
crazy challenge!

I have not gotten to touch any sewing in at least three weeks and I'm
having severe withdrawals! I STILL haven't finished quilting the baby
quilt - and my friend brought her grandmothers quilt by and dropped it
off for me to put the binding on for her. No rush, they will just be
moving to Datar <sp> in May so if I could just have it done by then,
that would be fine........

Billy had a skateboard accident the week before last - which of course
required a trip to the Dr.'s for a foot x-ray when the whole thing
swole up and turned blue and violet! As it turned out, there was no
fracture, but one heck of a lot of bruising, followed by a week on
crutches while it healed! It was quite a challenge preparing him for
his Easter baptism - on crutches! But he did it!

Things are going fantastic with the new job! It truly is a blessing
from above. I have made more new friends and acquaintances in just the
short time I have been there - I'm truly grateful. And it looks like
we may get a quilt group put together by May - so at least if I can't
get around to quilting/sewing at home, I'll do it while I'm up at the
church! LOL

I do read the posts in the morning while I steal my 20 minutes for
coffee and wake up time - so although I don't take a lot of time to
post responses - I celebrate enthusiastically with the accomplishments
and pray and cry with those experiencing rough times. My heart is
still with you all, even if my words aren't right now.

And I fondle my HUG every day! It has gotten a bit too warm here in
Houston for a quilt now, but I still keep it folded on the end of the
bed, just so I know it is still there to comfort me and to help keep me
feeling connected to my friends far away!

Anyway, back to work, feed everyone - bathe and fold laundry and get
ready to go back to work tomorrow! I just HAD to take a few minutes to
say..............

Hi guys! I love you and miss you!

Hugs, Charis and Shalom!
Tina
