Apart from passing the annual School Audit with reasonable colours,
principal comes up to me today and gives me my keys back (yay!) and also
my
appointment letter. Sign and give back to her and she says "We'll do
your
performance review soon which will entitle you to move up a grade". I
remarked that that would be good as I know my contracts have been in
bits
and pieces rather than a continuous 12 months. Then came the clanger -
"And
we'll backdate it to when it was due". That was start of term one!
OMG -
that's like gazillions of $$$$. Well not quite but you get the picture.

courage. And I can't believe it - I'm at training this week on the new
compy system, and I have only had one call from work. Pretty

Well you guys really did it. Y'all gave me the confidence to stand
my
ground and I won. I was offered the job at my last current school
(you

where the principal cracked the proverbials over me looking
elsewhere)
for
a
"term" even though it was advertised for a year. I accepted for a
term.

Today I am employed for the remainder of the year. My hours of
choosing.
So instead of four full days, it will be 3 full days (8.15 - 4.30)
and
2
half days (one 9.30 - 1.30 and the other 8.15 - 12.30). Perfect.
And
we
have an understanding. And I know where I stand - anything I don't
want
to
make a decision on, I refer to her because in her words she has final
say.
AND I'm getting a review done this term which in all likelihood will
result
in a pay rise. Yipppeeee!
