I did a class some time ago with a local dyer called
"Pickling Pieces of Colour" and managed this.

Not perfect, but I know where I went wrong in the measuring
and I have got better since this first attempt. I am
working on shades "recipes" now (eg. 8 shades of the same
colour red for flower appliques).

It's a lot of fun and I have a laundry sink outside and an
old twin tub washing machine which make it a lot less messy
LOL.
