Yes, you send pictures
Yes you get feedback
There is a class member only discussion group for each class and the
teacher responds there frequently.
You can go to google groups, enter this group and search for Quilt
University as this topic appears quite frequently. Lots of detailed
information there.

Hi everyone,.
I'm a self-taught quilter, hand-dyer, and fabric painter. I buy books
for techniques and watch every Simply Quilts/Fons & Porter/Quilt In A
Day episode that my Tivo can record. I have never taken a class in
person other than instruction from a sewing machine dealer for a
particular machine and eighth grade home ec (which coved some sewing).
I found a site called, QuiltUniversity.com. Have any of you taken any
classes through there? Was it effective and worth the registration
fees? I'm a little skeptical about this type of instruction since
taking a class to me would mean feedback on my work. I've taken many
webdesign classes online but that's different to me since I would turn
in my work. How does this place interact with the student? Do you
send in pictures of your quilting efforts? I was looking at the
shibori dyeing and landscape quilt classes but I can always buy a book
for the cost of the class so I'm not sure what I'd get out of it.
I'm interested in your experiences and if you know of anyone who has
used this site.
Thanks!
Renee
