Well it was a drama - I left early because I wanted to try a new route thru Johnson and guess what
it cut a bunch of time off the travel and will probably be the route I'll use all the time. Only
took 25 minutes from my front door to the agency - even with morning traffic. So I get there and
it is way early. I go in to check with the receptionist - they never heard of alice or carolyn
and I must want the sattellite office or the other office up on the hill. So I check at both
places and one of them calls the first place that I went to and yeah that was the right place
after all. So back I go - with 10 minutes to spare - and the interviewers show up AFTER I get
there - whew! The interview went from 9:30 to 11:10 - I couldn't tell if they were going to hire
me or not but I sure hope so. I liked them and think I could work well with them. I thought
about bending down and wrapping my arms around their legs and begging them for the job but
resisted the urge. Figured it might not leave a good impression. LOL!! My friend called and told
me that they told her she had the job the next day after they interviewed her and that I should
hang by the phone pretty close today because she is certain I have the job. I won't believe it
until I get the call. Thanks for all your support - I'm still antzy and will remain so until I
get the phone call letting me know nay or yea. I am still on the register for the DCFS Supervisor
in Benton County and I just learned that my Friend Elaine is retiring from Child Care Licensing
after 35 years in June and I always wanted to do her job.
