Re: Double Happy Dance in Canada!!!!

Thanks Michelle,

English IS my first language, but I was schooled in fluent French. Funny,
story: I was put into an ALL french school in grade One, but at Christmas,
the Nun told my grandmother that she didn't think I would pass grade one
because I REFUSED to learn french. My grandmother had a talk with me about
it and apparently I told her I was quitting school cause I didnt like
french. My grandmother being a real stern woman told me with a stern voice:
"You ARE going to learn french, and you ARE going to school, and I dont care
if you stay in grade one until you are 20 years old, you ARE going to learn
french!!!!" Let's just say I knew french by Easter! LOL
I transfered to english high school after grade school, since I know how to
read/write/speak french and that was good enough. Plus I knew I would go to
english college and didnt want to get too messed up with the language issue
if I made the switch AFTER high school.

Never regreted learning french in my life. It's helped me several times
now, but unfortunately, I'm starting to lose some of it cause I no longer
live in a french community. :(

That's my story and I'm sticking to it...LOL

Merci!
