Oh, Martha, there was a super pattern shown on here the other day, and I can't for the life of me remember the name. I posted a message at the time, saying what a great pattern it was for displaying a 'feature' fabric. If I described it roughly, perhaps the person who posted the picture will recognise it and come back to us with its name or the picture link. I would recognise it if I saw it. To imagine it: you have your square of feature fabric, say 6" square. Then above and below it are three strips, sewn like rail fence, going horizontally, say; then at its sides there are the same (I think) three strips going vertically, with the strips corresponding.
I do hope someone recognises it.
Attic Windows would also be fine. And, if you did plain sashing, you could put those triangle pieces on the ends of the sashing strips so that a star emerges at each junction.

I have been given some wild cat fabrics, the sort that you want to cut to show the motifs. I would like to present them in a child's quilt to their best advantage.
So far, I have thought of either plain sashing, or the Attic Windows pattern.
Would you folk have some other ideas?
TIA!
Martha
