I think it's very cool that you got to talk to her - even if it was only for
a moment. Last year, I was verifying some stores in Southern California for
my quilt shop list & I called a store in Santa Monica, called Crazy Lady &
Friends. The store is no longer open, but was owned by Mary Ellen Hopkins
(of It's Okay If You Sit On My Quilt & "your personal private measurement"
(or something like that). Anyway, Mary Ellen answered the phone. We had a
really nice chat - she was just like she is on TV - very chatty & friendly.
Loves Australia & travels there quite a lot to give classes & seminars. She
was a kick.
