Wow, you have been a busy person! Can't wait to see some of the
embroideries. (They go well in quilts -is that your plan?) And I'm sooo
jealous about the retreat in Spain.

And to swiftly bring this on topic, we bought 5 metres of Polish linen in red and white - Paul wants to make Polish flags for his WWII re-enactment, and I wanted some decent linen to embroider on - Polish folk costume embroidery is something that I really want to get into, and have bought a couple of books on the subject - one unfortunately is written in Polish and comes with a CD with a "photo-to-cross-stitch" embroidery program on it - but its all in Polish! ... Luckily tho, the photos don't need too much explaining, and the diagrams on how some of the stitches are done are great, especially as I am working my way through Nikki Tinklers book "Quilting with a Difference" - so am thinking about using stitches which are definitely used in Polish embroidery as quilting stitches! ...
