OT: today was.....slow

Okay, so many people have been telling me to slow down that I thought I would share the fact that I had a *very* slow day today. I went to the post office where I shipped out 2 totes of quilts to AQS (total is around 30 of varying sizes) and a thunkie to a quilter with no cash for her stash and who is bored whith what she urrently has (hey, sometimes we all need a little more lively fabrics, right??). Ran to grocery store where I bought a cartful of things for a family in Franklinton, LA and some stuff for out family as well. Back home, load items into another tote, grab DS, back to post office and then to store to get him a little cheapo toy and something small for rebekah. Nothing else really going on today.

Had the lady that claimed by dressers from FreeCycle come by...neither dresser could fit in her car, but she still wants them, so she took the drawers and will be getting b ack with me as soon as her DD can come over with a truck.

um....that pretty much sums up my day. We had the obligatory Halloween discussion....DH is against celebrating a non-Christian "holiday", my argument is that it isn't fair to DS to make him even more different than his classmates, who are already discussing their costumes....DH agreed that I could take DS provided he decided on an acceptable costume (in other words, nothing gruesome, devilish, etc.)..no big thing, DS wants to be SpiderMan..or BatMan, or a soldier, or maybe an astronaut...lol...so, I guess the hunt is on...have the pattern for DD...can't resist....with her blonde curls and big blue eyes, not to mention the pissy attiitude, she's a perfect Tinkerbelle!! If only I could get her to keep the topknot/ponytail in...lol
