Miss B:
Glad to hear you are on the road to wellness. So, what color/style FQ is aiding your recovery?

WEllllllllllllllllllllllll, this AM was rather interesting....got a BIGGER boot!!!!!!!! Looks like a ski boot with a rocking walking foot on the bottom and it goes ALL the way up to the knee (it's 'heavy') ...but it feels SO MUCH BETTER and I've only had it on for an hour!
Took the pain away COMPLETELY!
Bad part is, I wear it for 6 weeks---go back in 3 for another set of x-rays to make sure it is healing properly. He thinks it will because the first break did. After this is 'over' we will discuss 'shoe inserts'. Right now I will be wearing a tennis shoe on the other foot. Am using a cane to keep my balance with this one....but I CAN walk with it.and I can take it off for the night as long as I don't walk (bathroom is fine but no further)
Fortunately, it is the left foot that is 'falling apart' and I sew with the right one. So when DS gets home from work tonight he will put the chair up behind the SM table so I can keep it elevated whilst sewing with the right one....just like last time.
Got a kick outta the assistant when she was 'strapping the foam/hard plastic boot on' (6 straps) "Goodness, you have skinny legs"....told her it was ages since anyone said I was 'skinny' : ) At least we won't have to feed the gators with this set of Medical ppl.Got home and went straight to the fabric stash and got a FQ to put between the foam and my leg--geeze that stuff is itchy--cotton is so much nicer.
Thanks to all of you for the empathy and just listening.......
