I am confused. If you mix vinegar (acetic acid) and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate, a base) you'll get water because the base and the acid will neutralize each other, CO2 - and off the top of my head, sodium acetate. What cleans?

If you want a demo of the power of vinegar and bakign soda.... put a spoonfull of baking soda in your kitchen sink... drop a few drops of vinegar in until you get a reaction. Haven't found many laundry stains that won't take out. Cleans your shower floors, doors and any stinky or slow drains you may have around the house too.
