We have this angel on the National Geographic Channel named Cesar
Millan. He is "The Dog Whisperer." Do you get that channel down
unduh?

No. We have a teeny PayTV network but it's pretty woeful, really, and not worth the cost.

Clearly he shows how Pits are gentle beings. His perfect dog is a Pit
and his name is "Daddy." Just a wonderful dog.

It makes me mad when people demonise a breed just because of stupid owners, but by the same token, some breeds are just not designed to be too cosy, y'know? My sister has a neighbour who owns a rather large Akita Inu and it's *savage*: it lunges at you through the fence as you pass by and yelps in disappointment that your flesh is out of reach. Of course, the dog is like a lamb with its family, but putting it in a close-packed suburban neighbourhood is not, perhaps, the most sensible thing for the neighbours or the dog. Of course, some dogs just have weird personalities, regardless of their breed. Like people, they can suffer disorders and psychoses, I s'pose.

There are certain breeds which do not go well with
children, or noise or other animals, etc. I am freaking out because
of this new movie which uses Chihuahua's as the stars. In two years I
wonderr how many of them will be in the pounds. Same thing happened
with Dalmations after they remade 101 Dalmations. Disgusting.

Oh! *So* maddening! A few years ago here in N'cle, every male person under the age of 25 just had to have an entire male Weimaraner at his heels. The puppy mills went into overdrive and an awful lot of misbred, gormless Weimaraners appeared on the streets. Of course, plenty of dog-fights occurred, followed by fisticuffs from the owners. Eventually, the fad died out, but there are still a whole lot of sub-standard Weimaraners around today. The serious breeders must be tearing their hair out!

It is against the law in my city to have a dog tied to anything. If I
ever saw one tied and in distress I've been known to climb a fence,
pain and all, and rescue animals from their idiot owners. That poor
little dog. Oy.

Hee! Someone must've complained to the council, because the dogcatcher's van was outside her place yesterday. I'd say she got chatted about the puppy. Today, it's running loose in her yard and, miraculously, not yapping! Hooray!

Too right we are! It's the coldest one in many years! Brrrr! Three of our mice died this week from complications of being cold.

Sorry to hear it. Pet mice or just house mice?

Pet mice. We had quite a large colony, but they only live a little over a year or so and ours are quite elderly now. They're highly susceptible to changes in temperature and the three girls who passed on were the three loners who preferred to nest outside the communal bedroom. It's sad, especially for DS who loves them to bits, but it's Life, too. We've only got five girls left now and I'm thinking we might not replace them when they go. It's hard on DS...

I watch kids shows. I watch Zaboomafoo, Telletubbies, and Bindy the
Jungle Girl! Nice, soothing shows.

Psst! I like watching kids shows too! =:-0

...and openly and one last time, I truly regret ever having put you
through any distress. When I started posting here again I noticed you
stopped. I even sent an email to Karen asking her if it was my
presence. Of course she said no. Looking at it, I'm not all that
important! I have done a lot of work on my mind.

Urgh! No! I didn't stop because you were here, I stopped on account of computer problems. See, my computer's home-made by DH out of bits and pieces he gets from auctions and things. As a result, I get frequent crashes and power supplies dying and stuff like that. Also, I've got Vundo at the moment and no time to do the reformat I need to do. So I come and go, depending...

Listen, a long time ago was a long time ago and I've done some work too. I hope I'm not as precious and supersensitive as I have been in the past. I just love talking gardens and sewing and animals with someone who clearly loves them too! :-D
