Yes - thank goodness they don`t think like that nowadays. But don`t left
handed people look awkward writing? European/American people that is. I have
two left handed grandsons and it does look difficult. I had the dubious
pleasure of teaching my left-handed sister-in-law how to crochet. It was
hopeless while she sat beside me, but when she sat directly opposite me, the
problem was solved! I never dared try to introduce her to tatting!

Those people from countries that write from right to left across the page
are OK. I wonder if there are more left handed people in those countries,
though?

I remember being told that in the days when naturally left handed children
were MADE to use their non-dominant hand it often led to stammering!!! I
suppose there might have been some truth in it - it must have been pretty
stressful for a child.
