Holy Cats! It's been that long already??? Why do I remember that
stuff (you being in Ireland) and not the stuff I'm *supposed* to
remember? LOL

P.S. Speaking of cats, did you see all the kitty patterns on Hoffman's?
I'll have to go check out Hoffman's to see what's new :-). As for
travel to Ireland, you can bet I'll insist on going for a FULL two weeks
(10 days was NOT enough) for our next trip! And I forgot to tease Edna
about that whole "driving on the OTHER side of the road" thing! T'aint
easy when you're not used to it -- LOLOL! DH said the hardest thing --
other than driving on the other side of the road -- is that the pedals
of the car are backwards to what we are used to. OH -- did I mention
that the hope of getting a car with an automatic tranny are smaller than
slim & none! You WILL have a standard tranny so be prepared.
Then there's the whole issue of the roundabouts. Now, roundabouts
are great when you are used to them. Having to negotiate them for the
first time while driving on the other side of the road with brake,
clutch and gas pedal all kacalovich -- well, it's a challenge to say the
least :-))! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

Thank you all, especially Edna & Tia Mary!
It won't be a disappointment at all not to have a decent needlework
shop; I'm just kind of stingy on souvenier stuff, and if I was to lay
out cash for something, it would most likely be a needlework item I
could stitch at home "for the memories".
Needles (HA HA) to say, fishing is not a favorite activity of either
my Mum or myself! We'll most likely just site-see. We're staying in a
friend's vacation home for which I drew the plans. Two tickets to
visit were his return of the favor- how cool is that??!!
My friend is handling the car rental; he has hope at getting me an
automatic, although I can drive a standard; I had asked the ladies at
my local stitching group if they knew if the pedals were orientated
"backwards"; they thought no, but I'm glad you've warned me otherwise
T.M.! Hopefully, car rental agencies over there somehow mark the car
so locals know to give clear berth to tourists!! Oh well, I'll just go
VERY s-l-o-w-l-y!
Thanks again for your help- I'm sending those web links to Mum.
