My Woodlawn Report

Ellice, Ericka, and I had an extra guest yesterday as Ellice husband
tagged along with us on our outing to the Woodlawn Show. What a
patient man. And he's good company, too!

I have been trying very hard to figure out why the show seemed
different to me this year. Maybe as I get older, I get more
discriminating. There was very little there that attracted me enough
to want to do it for myself. Not to say that there weren't some
beautiful pieces.

The prize winners definitely deserved their awards. And I was
impressed that that the people's choice award went to an absolutely
gorgeous stumpwork piece. This year very few honorable mentions as
compared to last year.

Was a lovely, warm day. During our lunch in the Tea Room we got to
watch Ellice spring into EMT action as a woman passed out. That was
impressive.

We stopped by In Stitches for some shopping where Ericka astounded me
by not buying a single thing! Great self-control.

Nearly bought the back end of an Escalade on the way home. Stupid
Beltway traffic came to a sudden halt. I'm thinking my CR-V deserves
an oil change and car wash after that great stop.
