Re: Firehouse Angel Update

Your instincts were right...I was being sincere. ;-)

Take care...

I'm not sure you are mocking me or are being sincere, so I'll go with
the better of me and think you're sincere.

Indeed this project was immediately overtaken by several people on
this newsgroup to the point where I was told it wasn't MY project, it
was their project.

I backed out for the reason you illustrate here. I have nothing to be
ashamed of, and my behavior has been appropriate. I have already
stitched and framed and delivered something of note to the men who
save our lives daily. It is signed, anonymous with love.

It's hanging right in the spotlight at the station.

I wish someone would just keep the angel and hang it in their house.
It's gotten so ugly it's almost funny.

Eh. I don't think I'm misunderstood as much as I'm dismissed by the
more vile women on this newsgroup. There's a lot of self pity addicts
here and I have no tolerance for it. Oh well.

Jumping in where I probably don't belong, I'm going to give my opinion on this whole mess. Why? because as I've said to my friends, "Don't mistake my silence as acceptance."

I feel truly sorry for Victoria. I'll be the first to admit...yeah, I've found her to be a bit harsh and hard to get along with...but I really can't hate her for that. I'm not the easiest person to get along with either and I know that I'm a misunderstood soul too. I think Victoria is misunderstood more than anything.

Victoria, take pride in the fact that you gave birth to this wonderful idea. In my eyes, you will always be the mother and founder of the Firehouse Angel...whether you want the credit or not, I'm going to give it to you. Unfortunately, there are people in this world that I call shirt-tale riders and skirt-tale riders. These are the people that couldn't form an original thought if it bit them in the ass. They piss me off to no end. As soon as someone like you or I create a plan, they jump on it and do everything in their power to take control. It's a shame that you've had to learn about "trust" the hard way and had this torn out of your hands. But I guess you can walk away with your head held high now and know that you have nothing to do with the embarrassment that this project has become. The work itself is beautiful, but it carries with it a lot of bad vibes and that's a GD shame!
