I have both a new HP scanner/copier/printer (cost $100) and a digital camera
and I prefer the camera for getting pictures of my work onto the computer.
Even if you do not have a program such as PhotoShop you can do basic editing
and save your pictures as jpg files with little trouble with the software
that comes with the camera.
The scanner is most often used to allow me to save documents - and the copy
function is great for the kids and their school projects! I am a longtime
HP printer customer and they are workhorses...IMHO.
