Hail, Mary pass on McCain's part. Her attention-getting shock value is
worth
something, but my guess is that people will start to wonder if they want
this woman one heartbeat away from the presidency.
It will be interesting.

Well she has administration experience and therefore a record that one
can look at and then decide based on her record. My guess is that
people will hear a lot about her experience during this next week. If
she has done well, people will figure she will do well as president.
Hey lots of people think that Obama would make a good president, and
there is not much to base that on. Neither McCain, Biden, or Obama
have ever been anything but legislators.

It's all well and good to sit here and rationalize the reasons she is an
asset or a liability to McCain -- one way to look at her attributes is that
there's something there for just about everyone to dislike <g> -- but the
public's reaction to her is likely to be mostly emotional, based on how she
handles herself. There just isn't enough in her biography to do otherwise,
and based on the facts alone, she's as odd and unlikely a candidate for
major national office as Obama is.
Yabbut, the office of the VP has always been manned by second
stringers. Strong leaders don't settle for second fiddle.
Besides, how much pull do you think the President has any more?
Do you think Shrub wrote (or _thought_ about the content of) any of
his speeches in the past eight years?
A moose hunter with a union card, she might be more automatically acceptable
to lower-48 conservatives if the card she carried was from a Moose lodge and
she shot union members.
You owe me a monitor and keyboard, you sumbish. Tea all OVER! (still
wiping away the tear from laughing so hard at that one.)
