Why should you/we care if a senator/cop/judge is gay/bi/horny or
rents
a ho every once in awhile?

You shouldn't until they lie about it or attempt to abuse their
authrority.

So, why should you care if they lie about it? Whose business is it,
anyway?

When the President of the United States lies about sex, it's nobody's
business. When he does so in court, under oath, it's everybody's
business.

And why should the court have allowed the question? Did you see the
transcript? It was a setup.

What a dumbass he was about it. All he'd have had to have done would
have been make a statement like: "Yep, did it, sure as Hell. If you
think you're pissed about it, you oughta try being married to Hillary
about now!"

I agree, but that's hindsight.

The whole thing would have blown over in a matter of weeks. We're used
to our politicians stepping on their dicks once in a while. Hell, my
congressman was once Wayne Hayes! He could have given Clinton lessons!

There's a time for the president to exercise the fact that the judicial
branch and the executive branch are equals. I've never been comfortable
with
the theory behind judges ordering presidents to do anything; it's a clear
violation of the separation and balance of powers, IMO. If you don't like
a
president, you impeach and convict him. You don't play games with him in
court.

And have you noticed that as bad a president as Bush has been and as bad as
all the things he's done over the last seven years there hasn't been anyone
that has sued him? I think it says a lot about the kind of people in the two
parties. Clinton gets sued over something that the courts should have
disallowed as being highly frivolous. But the point is he gets sued and the
right wing court lets it happen, and they knew it was political. Then we
have Bush taking away rights left and right, running the country like a
dictator and nobody sues him. Turn it around and the republicans would have
trumped up something against a Democrat for sure. It just shows the lack of
quality of the people in the republican party. They will do anything to get
ahead and if they get caught, like Scooter Libby, their friends in high
places make sure they don't pay for any of it. You have to admit it, what a
country.
