Old age. OK, they slit the water. Where's the energy produced vs.
consumed? Perpetual motion, anyone?

Nope: Electricity is consumed to dialyse the water into gasses which are
consumed - along with gasoline - to produce forward motion AND more
electricity.

The benefit to the engine is a lessened use of gasoline due to the ability
to "lean out" the engine due to the use of Hydrogen and pure Oxygen (as
opposed to the 21% in the atmosphere) to "richen" the mixture. (FWIW, the
Hydrogen, IMO, is of far lower importance than the Oxygen since combustion
would be far more complete in an Oxygen-enriched environment.)

Since the engine is already running, power is already being used to turn
the alternator in order to produce electricity - used by the engine's
ignition system, lights, electronics, accessories, etc. - and this
electricity is used to dialyse the water.

Given the relative ineffiency of a gasoline-fuelled engine, no "perpetual
motion" machine is possible. <G>

The references to perpetual motion are tongue-in-cheek, get over it.

Taken literally, nobody here has definatively proven the advantage to the
hydrogen generator.
A friend of mine uses one on an F250, he claims 2-3 mpg improvement.
"Under what driving conditions...?"
etc.

B.S.
The more energy used from the alternator, the greater the load the
alternator places on the engine.
Period.

Perhaps, as mentioned, the addition of hydrogen/oxy is more beneficial in
combination with the gasoline/air.
Test it under lab conditions and get back to me
