The Liberals have tried to host talk radio to get their "message" out
but
nobody listened and the network went bankrupt. You may not like the
right
wind talk radio and the hosts thereof but at least they have enough
listeners to pay their bills.

Did you ever think that maybe the potential audience for the Liberal talk
doesn't need to hear their beliefs repeated on radio in order to validate
them?
Those who subscribe to Neocon dogma must be constantly reaffirmed.

I think there is an audience for talk radio that isn't strictly right wing
ideologues but with the monopoly in the market no one gets a chance to
hear
anything else. The consolodation in AM radio is because the govt. has
allowed all the stations to be owned by too few businesses. They need to
spread the ownership around. In my town you get nothing but right wing
crap
all day every day. I don't believe that is doing the public a service.
It's
sure not a free market.

No NPR in your area? Trust me, if there was sponsors available, stations
would play white noise! Apparently, the programming that you want doesn't
attract money. Why is that?
