actually, come to think of it, that set of ducks my mother hatched out last
year from eggs laid by the previous batch of ducks which we bought as
ducklings from Agway. they're "indian runners", TOTALLY goofy ducks.

yeah, don, it's a tin cat, has clear glass marbles for eyes, i saw a pic in
a gardener's supply catalog once, a tin cat scarecrow you put in your
garden, made in france, thought it was neat so i made one (didn't want to
pay whatever it was they were asking for it). i can't say for sure if it
functions as a scarecrow but it's fun to tease our cats with, and when
relatives visit and bring their dogs we get a kick out of their reactions.
sometimes it even startles me!
