Yes, this is my thinking, exactly.
I was thinking that purchasing a container solely for the
purposes of shipping everything in one shot and then selling
the container (even at a loss) when done would be the most
efficient plan, but I'm ignorant about shipping and the such.

Hence my asking here...

Does that seem like a practical solution to those in the know?

A couple of mobile home axles with electric brakes (about $100 each in my
neighborhood), a few feet of rectangular tubing, some wiring and lights and
that container can easily become an enclosed trailer that camn be pulled
behind your U-Haul......

Those containers weigh about 10,000# (I have one), your U-Haul might be
able to pull that mess, but not with any cargo in it. Passing any sort
of inspection for a trailer reg would also be difficult.
