You're not nuts Jeff. There was a powered pogo stick and a friend of
mine had one. His used model airplane fuel and was essentially a small
ICE with no crankshaft.
Bounce to compress, fire up you go, repeat. Scared me silly but he
could ride it all the way down the street and back.
