Sounds like a workable table. Great!

Worked for me for years..yours.

It fit right together, too.

Cool. Now..did it fit in the shop? <G>

I forgot to check it for flatness..damnit. We had too much to do and
too little time.

Sheeeeit! I just now got back online. My computer dropped the main
hard drive (the one I bought back in Feb 2006 when I put the
motherboard in and added the external drive.) 15 hours after I got
home and I somehow lost 6 months of emails. I have everything backed
up on the external but it shut off Outlook Express in Feb! CRAP! The
internal drive is totally unreadable. Hmm, who makes software for
that, Gibson?

Anyway, I put a new ACER computer on the credit card this afternoon
and am getting back online now. I should finish reloading all the
software which won't load from the external. Circuit City had a sale
on these for $289, but the tower sold for just $149 with rebates! It
has a Sempron CPU, half a gig of 512mHz RAM, a DVD-RW ,mouse,
andkeyboard, speakers, and came with XP Home version OS. Amazing
value, wot? I also ordered a Viewsonic 19" LCD screen for $199
(required to get the super deal on the tower) and it comes with an
extra $50 rebate. Total out the door after rebates is $279 or so.
The tower is WHISPER quiet, a real treat for me. Now to find a
mirroring card or software and find real happiness in actual redundant
data at last...

Considered an outboard raid or Stack O Disks? You saw my server farm?
Ive both raid and outboard storage.

Let's see, a sand blaster--Got a small one (5 gal?) in the way?

Nope. Last small one I had..I sold it for $1600.

Dental unit <G>

I had one dentist use one of those horrid things on me and I tasted
grit for nearly a week afterward. Eating, drinking, brushing,
flossing, and gargling didn't remove it all for days. Eff that noise!

As you saw..my blaster might not have fit into your pickup
truck..chuckle.

You say you bought a short bed? Whatever for????

I like a sporty-handler with a short turning radius. It turns in a
tighter radius than my sister's MGB-GT. We had it fully loaded over
the rails, though not tex-mex/hillbilly/redneck style.

Hell Larry..we hardly had anything in there. Sometime Ill have to take
a picture of one of my Okie-Dustbowl refugee loadouts.

Hey, I had a blast at GunnerWorld. Damn, I wish I'd had more time to
go out shooting with you. If it weren't a full day's drive away, I
might think of harassing you some more in the future. Gas cost me over
$300 for the trip! The climb up Mt. Siskiyou slowed me to 55mph in
3rd gear with the loaded bed. Not bad. I ran between 75 and 80mph on
the trip and averaged 16mpg down and 15mpg back.

Thats not bad for that truck. You didnt have more than about 600 lbs
on board at worst.

As I said..you are always welcome.

Thanks for the drill press, horz mill, tapping machine, belt sander,
bandsaw, drill bits, taps, electro-etching machine, conveyor belting,
3 treadmill motors, Grainger bench kit, perf stainless sheeting, bins,
plastic blocks for milling, face cutters, stub hubs, air cylinders,
lube/regulators, rollers, mig wire, and other stuff. I hope I cleared
a bit of your excess out. Now if just 20 other guys did the same,
you'd be in much better shape. Sorry I couldn't take any of your 24+
cats, either. <whew>

I forgot to ask about the fiber optic stuff. Did you have light
sources for that, too?

Yes..though Ive got to finish digging them out and some microscope
stuff for Ned

And DAMNIT, I didn't get a chuck key for my new drill press, either.
Drat! <g>

Lol..one thing Im low on..is chuck keys.

NOTE: Guys, when you go, take a knuckle boom truck so you can pick up
stuff from the center of the lot.

It was my greatest pleasure. Mi Casa, Su Casa.

I wish we could have gone shooting also. It would have been a kick in
the ass to bust caps with you.

You didnt put much of a dent in the Stacks O Stuff, but Im glad to see
the little bit you took is going to a good home.

I showed you the fibre optics stuff thats going to Ned Simmons, and
after I finish digging out the rest, Ill ship it off to him. Im still
behind on getting the remainder of those pc board drills out also, but
as you saw...its hard for me to prioritize, when Im up to my ass in
alligators. This weekend Ive got to finish up those stacks of table
leg weldments and go pick up a small, truck service utility body
(plumbers truck..bins and doors )and start turning it into a trailer.
I found one Monday for $50 (trading it out) thats in surprisingly good
shape, all the doors are straight and close. Thats going to be a
priority project as Ive some big facilities maint projects on the
horizon. Air and electrical.

Sigh...as you saw the total disarray the shop and back 40 is in...its
really hard to get it together. I really really need a forklift and
about 2 weeks just to finish organizing and moving machines in, out
and whatnot. This doing it by hand, this time of the year..in that
heat (and it was lower than normal temps the two days you were there)
bites the big green weinie.

Everybody..Larry is a hell of a nice guy, sharp as a tack and a good
friend. And Im tickled to have met him.

Anytime you want..my door is always open. Next time though..Ill try
harder to slip in some cats <G> to your load.

Respects

Gunner
