Might be valid - I have a double tailed (damn -- was hoping for heads) - quarter.

The edge looks perfect - so it isn't a manufactured one from what I can tell.

Did you read the thread here last week about how the whole rim of one coin is retained by boring a cavity in it out right out to the rim and then turning and facing the other coin down so that it will press into that cavity?


Have you looked for signs that perhaps it was made that way?
