Did you draw the must from the top of your pail or poured it from the bottom
spigot?
I had a braggot go strange and then bad, and the sediment at the bottom was so
thick that it came out the spigot when I tried to draw some must to check the
gravity. It was so viscous I could not possibly have used that mess for testing.
