I have finally made or discovered a running knot that uses more than a
foot per inch. It uses five strands, with the center strand running straight
and loose so that it can be pulled out, causing the rest to unravel. I have
yet to finish the two ends the way I want, so that it both holds the
longitudinal loops, recieves the force of the belt when it is in use, and is
decorative without being bulky. If I get a chance I will try to post
instructions and photos.
