Where to get ears pierced?

Hi, I want to get my ears pierced through the fleshy part (not cartilage) in
the middle of the ear. I did it in the lower lobes years ago, at the mall,
without problem (other than me fainting the first time!). But I just did a
web search, and found lots of horror stories, especially involving piercing
guns.
I saw an ear piercing kiosk at Wal-Mart, but the thought of a Wal-Mart
associate piercing my ears is kind of scary.
Where is a safe place to go?
my doctor's office? (WebMD says some/many doctors do piercings)
Piercing Pagoda?
Claire?
professional tattoo studio?
How much more will it cost at a professional studio or doctor's office?
Thanks!
Julie

Julie, you need to update and run a thorough virus scan program on your
computer. Earthlink quarantined your message in my email, with the notice:
>> This email included an attachment which EarthLink identified
>>as containing a virus known as Malformed container violation.
This posted copy of your message was retrieved manually from the mail server's
quarantine folder, and reconstructed, so THIS message is clean. But you need to
fix your computer before emailing anyone else, or sending other newsgroup
messages. Install proper virus scanning software that scans incoming messages,
scans your computer (do that right away), and scans outgoing messages too.
Otherwise you're putting other peoples computers at risk. I'd strongly suggest,
in this day and age, also installing firewall software, or turning on the one
built into windows, as well as decent spyware detection. The free one available
as a beta from microsoft isn't bad, or for a small amount of money, spyware
sweeper is quite good. If you need help with computer security, please seek it
soon, and do so in person. You should consider internet contacts unsafe until
after you've cleaned your computer, and don't use it with any sensitive info
(credit cards, for example), until you've cleaned out the infection or whatever
the source of this problem turns out to be. In the mean time, if you need
internet contact, use a different computer, preferably one known to be
protected, especially if you're accessing your email, since some infected
messages you may have sent may be returned with the offending virus infection
still there. PWR]]
