I bought a $40 submersible pond pump, and some PVC pipe.
I put some hot hot water and Oxyclean in a kettle, and put in the
pump. I also dump in the lid and poppets and posts.
Basically the keg rests upside down on the kettle. The PVC pipe
connects to the pump and goes up to about 1" from the bottom
(inverted, now top) of the keg. When I plug it in, it just shoots all
that water and cleans the keg and the parts. Then I rinse. Fill with
iodophor, let sit for 5 minutes and put it all back together. Then I
flip in open into a bucket and let it sit for 5 more. Pour out and
good to go.
It may sound like a lot of work, but it's not. I don't do anything to
clean it, the pump does it all.
