When you are opening the jumprings are you just pulling them apart or
are you pushing one side away from you to open the gap?

Part of the problem may be the material you are using and part of the
problem may be how you are opening and closing the rings.

Here are some resources for you:

Thank you for your assistance. I am a reasonably experienced with
craft and have made a number of items (and sold a good number). The
very thin plastic comets I am using seemed to require a complete
closure of the jump ring, and I am not using high quality rings I must
admit.

I do open and close rings by using two pairs of pliers and pushing
away and toward myself when opening and reverse when closing. I
never hear a snap as the ring closes - but this may be because the
rings I am using are not high quality.

I have now resorted to a tiny spot of clear craft glue (E-6000) and
this is working, even if it is slow and clumsy.

Cheers
Daisy
