Sorry but this is incorrect. South Australia is covered by the ACSC from the
issue of 1855.
I think you have your wires rather badly crossed. The Australian
Commonwealth Specialists Catalogue ('Brusden-White') covers State
issues only from the Commonwealth period, certainly not from 1855.
Perhaps -=your=- copy, not mine! As an "EE", my 'wires' are straight. <G>
Mine [#5445] covers the whole period of the states!
Index:
Australian States ... Section "A"
New South Wales - 19 pages, 1850 on
Queensland - 12 pages, 1860 on
South Australia - 11 pages, 1855 on
Tasmania - 9 pages, 1853 on
Victoria - 26 pages, 1850 on
Western Australia - 9 pages, 1854 on
HTH !!!
I'm sure this will be news to the publishers. You might care to
communicate with the publishers via their Web sitewww.brusden-white.com.au/
to reveal the news to them.
You are NOT talking about the Australian Commonwealth Specialists
Catalogue, but something else.
Very doubtful that it would be "news to the publishers" as it is their
clearly marked catalogue I have before me, the page to my hand !
I think it more of 'news' to those who comment without having actual
information!
Please see:http://www.ttrr.org/scans/acsc-1.jpg
Make particular note of the first line of the COPYRIGHT statement.
If you have difficulty, please have some older person read this to you.
Also make note [or drawing] of the punched hole pattern on the page for
comparison in the next step.
Secondly, see:http://www.ttrr.org/scans/acsc-2.jpg
Here try to discern the heading for the first column in the detailed
listings.
This is to the left of the "TYPE" designation and is FOUR [1, 2, 3, 4 !!!]
letters long.
More erudite persons will recognise this as the abbreviation for the name of
the contents of this binder !
Note as well the pattern of the puched holes, indication of the fact that it
comes from the same binder as the previous page!
You also might note [or have explained to you] the date(s) and entry[ies]
shown on this page which you have claimed does not exist.
Now, if after all this effort, you still choose to be 'of the same opinion
still', please, YOU contact them at http;//www.brusden-white.com.au/!!!
Inform them that they did not publish that to which their name is clearly
ascribed in the copyright, on the cover and throughout the whole of the
work.
Happiness is a correct "translation".
Your Web site apparently doesn't exist. And yes, I can't find any
reference to a States volume on the Brusden White ACSC Web site. I am
still of the opinion that you are looking at another Australian
catalogue. The ASC perhaps.
