Hi,

As for Vista, you may not like it ( neither do I ), but XP's days are
numbered.
Microsoft will pull the plug in APril of 2008 on new XP installs, & will
drop
support for it in 2010 ( at least that is what they are saying ).
Developers like myself, must support new OS's as users have them.

Hi Marios,
I have done SW testing, so could help you... but there's zero
chance of me installing either XP or Vista. Eight machines here
will boot, many more in parts & stages of disrepair. Running
unix variants, and Wins from 3.1 to 2000. With "authorization"
needed for XP, i consider it crippleware. Vista, so far, has been
an incredible disaster.
All you want an OS for is stability, compatibility and speed. Vista
fails two out of three. Yes, your customers will be using Vista, so
you must develop for it. Unfortunate, but you are forced to run
the same treadmill that Msoft is trying to push on users.
Watch and see what happens when Msoft *attempts* to kill
XP next April. When the authentication server goes dark, and
10,000 folks upgrade to new 1TB hdd's only to find that they
have to shell out for bloated, slow and expensive Vista...
.... can you say "ubuntu"?
