I read it as "Genichesk". I looked this place up in my atlas, and it is in
Ukraine (as well as Kiev), so chances are ...
The location is indexed in my atlas (Gyldendal), map 90, at 46'12 N, 34'50
E. The Danish spelling used in the index is Genitjesk.

Gyldendal). But looking at the cancellation it seems you could be right.
