So, even though some of you people hate my posts, and like to mock me
a lot (which I've said in the past, I don't care about, so mock away)

Please consider my comments below to be persuasion rather than hating.
I rather admire your enthusiasm, I just think it is misdirected.

is there a chance that I could push for a
bill in Congress to make it a law that all U.S. vendors must upgrade
their machines to accept and dispense $2s and halves?

Please don't. The US public started rejected the half dollar 44 years
ago when the silver was removed, maybe earlier, because the size was
seen as cumbersome.

I know many of
you people think that $2s and halves are a needless waste of
denominations, but as I said, this could same money on minting so many
quarters

The cost saved in minting halves instead of quarters would be miniscule
compared to the costs and inconveniences of handling a separate
denomination for millions of banks and businesses across the country.
This is aside from the rejection factor. Get a grip.

I am starting to think we should just drop the $1 coin idea, and issue
polymer $1-$100 (or even $1-$1,000) bills

<snip>

Please don't. The introduction of the $1 coin is the *only* good US
Mint innovation for circulating coinage in the last 40 years.

Bill handling modules for vending machines are many times more expensive
than coin handlers. Please support keeping vending machines low cost
and affordable by supporting advances in coin usage rather than bills.

If you want to support a new denomination, please make it the $5 coin
and nothing lower. My only other agreement with you is for $200 bills
and higher.
