Point of clarification:

I said the political discussion in this thread SOUNDS silly. As in
SEEMS TO BE SILLY TO ME. It is right there above in the thread; I am
not making this up. That is a far cry than an absolute declaration
that the political discussion in this thread IS silly. Also, it is
in no way related to the notion that discussing the organization in
and of itself is silly. Surely, you see the difference?

I fail to see how this would be considered unusual given I know
nothing about the organization other than what you have recently
informed me of. For example, when I was in Australia I would read
political news items and it sounded just as silly to me to since I
had no context.
Honestly, is this really that difficult to understand?
