Don't scratch a coin to see if it's rare!!! How idiotic!
Judging by the irregularity of the surface coloring, it appears to be chemically
treated. Give it a little scratch, and you'll likely see the real coin color
underneath.
If I had any remote thought that it might be a mint error, I wouldn't have suggested
it. But I looked at the picture.
