Just curious, how do you define that 1958 wheat cents were bronze, and 1959 cents
were copper, when both share the exact same composition? (3.11 grams, .950
copper, .050 tin and zinc)

And listing the composition is far less important value-wise than listing the
condition of each coin. Anyone buying these already would understand the
composition, perhaps even better than you.

Well you caught me, GOOD for you!

FYI. Several numismatic sources {Red Book for one} differentiate the two different
dates of these coins composition.

They must have changed the Red Book then, because that's where I just got my figures.

From my Red Book(1991, latest handy):

Wheat cents: "weight 3.11 grams; composition: .950 copper, .050 tin and zinc". They
also listed changes specific to the WW2 years.

Memorial cents: "weight 3.11 grams; composition: .950 copper, .050 tin and
zinc"..."1962-1982-composition changed to: .950 copper, .050 zinc."

Sure seems the same for 1958 wheat and 1959 memorials to me.

;o)

Sorry for playing semantics with the listing of these items. I did not have the
time to grade each of these for you as I'm listing them for a friend.

Closeup pictures would then be helpful. You are not going to get high bids if
everyone assumes these are in low grades. With good images you could likely do
better than your BIN prices. You may want to experiment with other photo hosts in
any future listings.
