Got a 1909 Lincoln Cent in F-VF condition in change from the hardware
store yesterday. Unfortunately, no S or VDB to be found, but still
the first decent find I've made in a long time. Anyone else find
anything good in change lately?

Good find. My daughter is the manager of a large store and daily checks
through the intake. she has found many "silver certificates", several
with only soft folds, silver dollars back to 1850 or so, and some good
condition early nickels and pennies. She just 'buys" the coins from the
receipts.
