FAQ updates should be posted to the group.
See below for highlights and direct links to many of your
numismatic (coin-related) questions.
Preliminaries:
1.A. DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS
1.B. DO NOT TROLL
2. HOW DO I GET MY QUESTION ANSWERED OR MY COIN IDENTIFIED?
- Post a binary or picture attachment to a web site and post a link to
the picture on RCC. You can also post an image to the newsgroup
alt.binaries.pictures.numismatic. (RCC is a text-only newsgroup.)
- Allow time for a response. This is not a chat room and it may
take a day or more depending on the issue involved. Contentious
follow-ups minutes or hours after the original post have been foci
for much comedy and little information. Check back to the newsgroup
for responses. Requests for e-mail responses will not generally be
honored except for commercial offers, personal information and the
like.
3. HOW DO I POST SELL OR BUY OFFERS?
Always start commercial postings with the proper prefix -
FS: (for sale), FA: (for auction), WTB: (wanted to buy) etc.
off of the subject header. (See T...@pic #1 below.)
Stealth postings of commercial ads won't work well for you; most of the
folks here are (a) experienced and (b) not idiots.
Combine as much into one posting as possible and adhere to the
guidelines in the referenced FAQ.
This is a ZERO TOLERANCE NOSPAM newsgroup.

should be limited in this newsgroup. It is preferable to set
followups to one of the discussion groups and post a followup
