My advice is to COMPLETELY IGNORE things posted that are intended to
irritate. Like the saying goes, do not feed the trolls.
When I say ignore the posts, I mean exactly that. Do not reply to them, and
do not discuss them except offline in private emails. If you wish to report
poeple to their ISP do so quietly and don't post a message telling everyone
you did so. ANY acknowledgement AT ALL of anything offensive just feeds the
trolls. Let them operate in a vacuum unless they want to contribute
conversation of value. Let them have the last word and don't reply.
That's my 2 cents worth. I apologize for not following my own advice and
posting this on the NG; if I knew everyone's email address I'd have done a
mass private emailing. But I value the friendship of you all and don't want
to see this newsgroup go to the buzzards.
No need to reply.
