I have a list of over 300 English language books on billiards which have
been published since the 1700's. And I know my list is not complete. If you
go to a large new bookstore, you will see many new recently published books
on pool/billiards. If you stick it on the shelf, they will buy it
basically.

And if you go to a used book store, you will see little or nothing on pool
or billiards. Many used book dealers will say they can't keep them on the
shelves. As soon as they get used books on billiards, they are gone.

There are millions of people who play pool/billiards/snooker worldwide.
Note that just about every bar or tavern has a few pool tables.

And then larger cities have billiard halls, some which are upscale, some
which cater to the "college crowd", and others which are more family
oriented.

One national chain has opened billiard halls in the following cities:
Austin, Arlington, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, San Antonio,
Tyler, Waco, Orlando, Phoenix, Tucson, Baton Rouge, and Memphis.

There is no one specific "class" of people who have pool tables in their
homes. Many people have them in their garage or basement.

And it is sort of like a golf thing, where everyone will buy anything which
might help to improve their game. But this game is "secretive". Techniques
on shooting specific shots are not shared by the best players, however,
many times these secrets were discussed in older books. Thus the big
interest in older books.
