Doh! You put it up HIGH, like in your attic. Or are you
saying that these people are even more stupid than I

The book "The Control of Nature" by John McPhee, written
in 1989, predicts the eventual failure of the levees due to
a big storm. It should be required reading for all area
schoolchildren and anyone considering moving to N.O.
(And there's a chapter on the San Gabriels and debris
flows for those in L.A.)

And concerning Californians... if they had a 5-day warning
of an earthquake....

Who said anything about refineries? W is doing it to
boost his approval ratings, regardless of value or vulnerabilities.
